Mushroom Blading Vol.2 Review
Randy Edwards
I always find myself at a loss for words after watching a SOL crew video. They bring me back to childhood, when rollerblading was life. No job. No bills. No responsibility. I have to say that I am guilty of falling off the proverbial bandwagon over the past year, but Volume 2 of the Mushroom Blading series honestly gave me the itch, and not the kind your doctor warns you about.
Rollerblading has yet to have anything like it. No matter whether you are a physician, student or dope fiend, chances are your going to enjoy this film. Three gentlemen and their travels around the land of free health care and Tim Hortons. By the way congrats on the gold. Any chance you guys are friends with that Olympic curling cougar, Cheryl Bernard? Back to why we’re here, Front Row Productions has truly made a work of art with the NOW that they live in. Artistically, Mushroom Blading puts any other rollerblade film to shame. Imagine Bruce Browns Endless Summer on acid. Not to mention, some of the most creative rollerblading that I have personally ever seen. You’ll have a book of new tricks to try at your next Tuesday Night Skate.
The filming and editing truly leaves you wanting to buy a ticket to join their ride. There are scenes that will honestly remind you why you still rollerblade, and most importantly why you started rollerblading. Followed up with an amazing soundtrack that you get lost in while watching. I see history unfolding with these guys film making abilities. To all my rollerblading junkies that still have their first pair of CDS Detroit grind plates sitting next to their mint condition Fr wheels, and you cant forget those Dave Kollasch pro Razor frames, add this to your collection. You wont regret it. SOL is the solution.
